Simplifai hosted Industry Minister Jan Christian Vestre and Digitization and Administration Minister Karianne Tung as they discussed a new policy roadmap that will help the technology industry point the way for innovation and value creation.
The technology industry, marked by “deep” technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, robotics and quantum systems, represent a new wave of innovation with many opportunities for both society and business.
“The initiative is a response to the growing attention to deep technologies and the potential it has for value creation. With this roadmap, we will be able to more easily utilize the opportunities that new technology provides, to solve major challenges and create new jobs, while at the same time framing its use for the good of society,” says Minister for Digitalization and Administration Karianne Tung.
“When we have the completed road map, we will have a good picture of what the industry needs in terms of framework conditions and expertise to be able to use advanced technology, with a particularly large potential for innovation, value creation and societal benefit,” says Minister for Industry Jan Christian Vestre.
Simplifai joins a critical group of companies providing input into the plan, including Abelia, NHO, and others.
“This is a great initiative that will hopefully adopt appropriate regulations for rapidly evolving technology such as AI. We applaud this initiative from Ministers Vestre and Tung, and we look forward to contribute to the process ahead, “ said Bård Myrstad, Simplifai CEO.
